Microchipping

A microchip is a small implant placed under your pet's skin, containing a unique code specific to your animal. This code can be read with a microchip reader, aiding in the identification of your pet.

Microchips can be inserted at various times, with the most common occasions being during final puppy/kitten vaccinations or desexing procedures.

For dogs to be registered with the regional council, microchips are required.

The New Zealand Companion Register is an online database for microchips. We can assist in registering your animal online, or you can do it through their website. This database proves invaluable for locating missing pets or those that have been stolen.
